Established in January 2019, Curve Royalty Systems was launched by former ADA/Warner, Cooking Vinyl and Essential Music executives, Richard Leach (General Manager), Ray Bush (Finance Director) and Tom Allen (Technology Director). Its royalty processing platform was built to deal with the scale and demands of music businesses in the digital age.

Meet the Team
Compatible with every possible data format and size, Curve has the ability to ingest an unlimited number of income statements each month, collating information from a variety of different distributors and sources. Transparency also being key, artists are provided with a login, giving them instant access to their statement balances and analytics.
Curve’s client base encompasses a variety of music recording and publishing businesses including Audiosalad, Cooking Vinyl Group, the Domino Recording Company, HospitalRecords/Songs in the Key of Knife, Ingrooves, Mad Decent, Maxwood Music, NBCUniversal and Sky TV.

Ray Bush

Ray Bush, founder of The Music Royalty Co.(MRC), met Tom and Richard while running the royalty team at Cooking Vinyl and Essential Music & Marketing. Tom & Ray co-founded Curve in response toMRC’s persistent frustrations with the then existing Royalty Software solutions.

With 20+ years’ experience of Ray’s insights and direction was instrumental in developing Curve as total solution for calculating royalties.

Tom Allen

Tom founded Curve in partnership with Ray Bush in 2016. Using years of music royalty experience knowledge & engineering skills, Tom developed Curve from scratch himself.

Working through various roles in digital & royalties at indie labels & distributors for 7 years, Tom struck out as an entrepreneur in 2013. Launching a metadata and asset management platform; Metable served various labels, publishers and distributors such as BPI. AIM & Cherry Red. Tom has consistently collaborated with partners providing creative solutions to a variety of projects.

With this blend of industry insight, entrepreneurial drive & technical ability, Tom is dedicated to learning Curve and its clients into the future of royalty management.

General Manager

Richard Leach

Richard is responsible for developing new business & overseeing client satisfaction. He is a highly motivated executive with a history of success working with independent record labels. He has over 15 years’ experience of global sales & distribution & a track record of delivering impactful international retail collaborations enhancing revenues & results. A natural team leader, Richard is a pragmatic & strategic thinker who is passionate about solving problems.

Client Manager

Matthias De Rouck

Matthias helps clients in their on-boarding process & generally make them successful on Curve. Matthias first worked with Curve as a client overseeing the transition from a previous platform, so he has first-hand experience of other platforms and what it takes to successfully transfer over to Curve. 

Matthias also has a master's degree in business economics from Ghent University & speaks fluent Dutch & English.
